So ninetyandnine.com’s Great Female Blog-off has begun. A month ago we asked for any female reader interested in blogging to submit a short bio, as well as a couple paragraphs on why they’d be the right person for the job. The initial group of nominees was winnowed down to the Final 6. We’re happy to say the six finalists cover both coasts and both borders of the United States (I’m not quite sure why no one outside of North American volunteered); some are single college students, others professionals, some are mothers, and others are mothers attending college. It’s an exciting diversity of our readership. Now they have to earn it through effort. For the next three weeks we’ll be highlighting their thoughts for your (and our) judgement. This is a test of their abilities. One of these bloggers will be adding content to our zine regularly, so we want her to contribute something we can’t normally offer through our regular articles and commentary. She should maintain the rhythm of the entire zine, yet present an extra dimension of (mostly) triumphant daily Christian living. You should look forward to reading her thoughts several times each week, whether in agreement or otherwise. So tell us why you like whichever one (and if you're a personal friend when you share your thoughts J via letters and emails (editor@ninetyandnine.com). If you don't like one, explain your position tactfully, as these Christian ladies are donating time and personal pride to minister with us. This week they submitted “long form” entries, while the next two weeks will focus on snippets and links to other sites and sounds around the web. The point is for you to see who fits best into this eclectic little ministry we call ninetyandnine.com. Two final notes:
And now, on with the Blogs!
