Aaron
Soto will be speaking at a Senior High breakout session at the UPCI’s North
American Youth Congress in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is a
Pastor at Apostolic Truth Church in Appleton, WI.

He answered our questions on July 2, 2007.
---------
90&9: What’s the first NAYC you attended and what do you
remember from it?
AS: Kansas City, MO, 1991. I was from a small town and church, the sight
of 5,000 apostolic young people was overwhelming to me. Bro. (Jerry) Jones had
invited me to speak about soul winning in one of the sessions—the experience
was terrifying.
90&9: What’s your favorite NAYC Memory?
AS: Congress in Little Rock, AR, 1995. I was a new youth pastor with a
fledgling youth group. The trip cemented our core and my leadership—our youth
group never looked back after the experience.
90&9: What do you see as the biggest challenge for Apostolic youth
today?
AS: Technology. Although technology is not inherently wrong, it has become a
vehicle that has introduced unwholesome opportunities in unprecedented
quantities to our young people. Technology provides unhealthy freedom often
without accountability or supervision. Technology has become the ultimate
diversion for many Apostolic students eroding away at their time, resources, and
convictions. Whatever weakness a student may have, technology is a direct outlet
for that weakness.
90&9: (Excluding the Bible and family), I can’t live without:
AS: Amazingly—the internet.
90&9:
The last item I downloaded was:
AS: A patriotic PowerPoint for our “God Bless America” service.
