Just a few snippets:

  • I get really frustrated when things don’t work correctly. I have been in a two-week tumultuous relationship with AT&T trying to get our Internet working again. It’s been Frustrating.
  • It is truly satisfying when you watch your son catch a touchdown pass in the end zone.
  • I get even more frustrated at the media when it seems they are more interested in making the news rather than reporting it.
  • It is heavenly when you realize that you are going to have a few days of R&R!

God Bless each of you ninetyandnine.com readers!         ~nita

Re: “Pavlov’s Pentecostals”

Thank you, Kent d Curry, for your insightful article. It was well written and made an excellent point. Sounds like you know what you are talking about. I hope that your efforts will be effective as more readers take your advice and have a second look at some of the more focused events/conferences and realize that they can be more beneficial than the large, impersonal meetings.

Re: “Small Conferences”

Years ago I lost my license because of such talk and behavior.  Was the best thing that could have happened to me, for then I found a wide open door to minister to the world that lay right at my feet!  Restraints to my personal calling removed, guilt absolved because of the realization that I truly was called to function in this particular capacity, my life and ministry became a joy.  Until recently, my ministry didn’t even have an official title in our congregation.

Remember:  It’s the function, operation of the Holy Ghost within us that matters.  Not the title.  Accountability to the Body is vital to one’s success in ministry, and success is not recognition, but completion of the Divine call.

Jeremiah even predicted that folks would forget about the Ark of God, and the sacrifices of the altar...!  Didn’t win him any friends!  But, he stood by his prophecy because he saw right through their dependence upon a system instead of a relationship with their God.

Many lonely men have spoken to us through the pages of the Word; lonely because of their call, and their obedience to their calling. You might go chat with some of the guys listed in Hebrews 11...!

I admire your diligence in speaking boldly on these issues.  Speak the truth in love at all times...

Just out of curiosity, when is/was the 2008 PWI?
