Letters
October 20, 2008
We realize that we do
not say it enough, but thank you to all who take the time out to
write a letter to this little web-zine. It communicates to us on
several levels--it tells us what is important to you, it helps us
understand our readers better, and it ministers to those who wrote
the article. There are many weeks that writers have no idea if their
article helped/ministered or even upset anyone, so whenever you
write or comment, it is a blessing to those who wrote it. So thank
you!
Re: Harry
Potter and the Slanderous Email
Although it
has been nearly a decade since “Harry Potter and the Slanderous
Email” was written and Harry Potter is now old news, in this election
year the message is relevant.
It seems that
truth is the first casualty in discussions any more, and a call
to confirm what we pass on as truth should be required reading for
everyone who thinks of picking up a mouse. We all have those friends
that forward e-mails incessantly. The cute photos and the links
to silly Websites are one thing, but the chain e-mails and blogs
full of lies and untruths that do not stand up to two mints of thought,
let alone Googling, have no place.
How can we glorify
God in a lie?
Thank you for
keeping this cover in the archive.
