our mission

What’s lacking is a Voice. For every publication and web site that purports to represent the college student, the young married couple, the professional, or the Christian single, there is nothing that speaks to all aspects of these lives.

The media loves to label, because like all clichés, a label circumvents thinking. There is the World War II Generation and the Baby Boomers and Generation X or Y, but these labels are examined as they mature without ever trying to reach a specific age group within each label.

Yes, we are racing up the career ladder or contemplating pregnancy or weighing grad school, but these facts are but aspects of a greater whole. It is that whole person, the one who reads magazines while dressing for work, teaches Bible Studies at the community center, jogs four miles at sunrise, and has trouble balancing the budget who has no voice, no external conscience with which to volley ideas and experiences, to compare thoughts on spiritual maturity, career ineptitude, and the search for a better milkshake. The whole that knows when to have fun (most of the time) and when to commit (some of the time), when it’s necessary to beseech God in prayer, and when it’s time to bag the junker and buy an SUV.

ninetyandnine.com will cover that whole person. To reach for your soul, your intellect, your gut, and your funny bone. We will be that cyber echo that offers solutions and alternatives through victorious Christian living - without ignoring the realities of life. After all, the realities of life often make victorious Christian living difficult. That simple truth makes for delicious reading!

Together, we will walk the narrow path of success or the precipitous trail of failure or the wide highway of mediocrity with others who are also learning to live the life of a Christian in a world more interested in noise than clarity.

This is your life.  This is your chance.  This is your Voice.
